Solved: A ’90s dance song with church bells

I heard a ’90s dance/techno song the other day, but had no idea what it was called. It had prominent church bells in the chorus, a female singer, and it had the words “she’s gonna look like with a chimney on her” – or something like that – in its chorus.

When I searched the web for the title of the song, I found that several others looked for something similar.

I finally found out today, so I thought I’d share for future web searchers: the song I was looking for is Feel It with The Tamperer featuring Maya, released in 1998. They were an Italian group, apparently, and were also responsible for “If You Buy This Record Your Life Will Be Better”. Says Wikipedia:

[T]he song is based on the Jacksons’ 1981 hit “Can You Feel It” and quotes Heather Leigh West’s lyrics from Urban Discharge’s 1996 song “Wanna Drop a House.”

YouTube: The Tamperer feat. Maya – Feel it.

Swedish bonus information: Sången parodierades också av Rally i låten “Var har jag lagt min telefon”.

  10. Chiming in, in 2017! Thank you SO very much! Was looking for this song for years, remembered nothing of the lyrics, only recalled someone wearing a white outfit, shots of blue water, a boat – and used to Google those search terms. For some reason today I added church bells to the search terms and voila found my answer thanks to YOU! Thank you so much – you found the song you were looking for and could have moved on but you were so generous to make a post for others like me! God Bless!

  11. Literally the only thing I could remember was the bells…so I googled ” 90s bells dance song” and boom!
    Thank you so much!!

  12. Ok another big thank you! I’d heard this song only a couple times a long time ago but had no idea what it was. Your post here cleared that all up for me and any others. Thank you! You might want to add that it’s based on a song by The Jacksons called “Can You Feel It”. It’s not identical to The Jacksons version, but it’s obviously a sampled homage of their song. I’m guessing they had to credit The Jacksons because the chord changes and rhythm are pretty much the same down to the bells and some of the horns.

    1. Thanks, Ed, glad I could help. And that’s a good addition, I will leave your comment here so others can be aided by it. /Admin

  13. I heard this once like 10 years ago… been searching ever since haha.. my google searches every so often were like “du du du..du du du… dududu…” hahah.. thanks so much!!

  14. Finally! My mother and I were looking for it and I knew it was sampled from a track and now I remember. It was sampled from the Jackson 5 -can you feel it.

    1. That it was. I’ll add that information to the original post, to make it easier to find! /Admin
